Mr. Tlolman stated in reply to a question that 134 persons had been fined for having taken part-in strikes sinco Uctober 14. Only one fTne had been paid, nozody had been imprisoned for non-pay-ment of fines, and no steps had been taken to enforce payment, but applications for the remission of fines were under consideration.
