Sydney, May 20. A seizure of opium, valued at £325, was made among the cargo from China by the steamer Eastern after the cargo had been landed. CORONATION CELEBRATIONS. Received 30, 12.15 a.m. Sydney, May 29. The Coronation celebrations include the illumination of the city on June 22 and the two following nights. A FALLING DRINK BILL. Received 30, 12.15 a.m. Sydney, May 29. At thfc annual dinner of the New South Wales Alliance, Archdeacon Boyce said it was 34 years since he raised the local option flag. During that period the drink bill of New South Wales had fallen forty per cent, per head of population, and the convictions for drunkenness fifty per cent.
