"NEW ZEALAND OIL DESERVES SUPPORT." By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, May 25. Mr. J. D. Henry, interviewed, said that New Zealand oil deserved support. There were unquestionably numerous promising virgin territories, and the latest drilling in Taranaki had proved the existence of an extensive oil field. MEETING OF DIRECTORS. A meeting of directors of the Taranaki Petroleum Company wtfs held last evening. Enquiries were received for large supplies of crude oil. Quotations were ordered to be forwarded. The manager reported that at No. 3 bore drilling was proceeding very satisfactorily in good country; that at No. 5 good progress was being made; and that No. 2 was flowing as usual. It is not yet too late to buy preference shares. They must turn to substantial profit. To-morrow may be too late. Send to Walter Bewley, New Plymouth.— Advt.
