SHIPPING DISASTERS.
A STEAMER SUNK. SIXTY DROWNED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Panama, May 25. The National Steamship Cempany's Taboga sank on Tuesday off Punta Mala. Of a hundred passengers aboard sixty were drowned. A VESSEL ASHORE. Port Elizabeth, May 25. The Itzehoe is ashore at Cape Recife. Assistance has been sent. Received 27, 1 a.m. Capetown, May 20. The Itzehoe is hard and fast, her forepart resting on the rocks. The vessel's bottom is badly damaged. The fore and lower parts of Nos. 1 and 2 holds are full of water. The saving of the cargo depends on the weather. WRECK OF THE MANDALA\. Perth, May 26. The Mandalay was wrecked at the Chatham Islands ten days .ago. She was blown ashore in a storm. The crew of fourteen walked fifty miles to the township of Denmark. They had plenty of provisions, which were landed from the wreck. THEv STRANDED CUNARDER. London, May 25. The Ivcrnia's bulkhead has burst and the engines have been flooded. The crew remain on board.
