«. CENTRAL BOARD'S REPORT. By cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received 17, 9.30 p.m. London, May 17. The annual report of the Central Emigration Board states that 136 emigrants settled in Australia in 1910, but only one in New Zealand, where the Board were unable to arrange for placing emigrants; consequently the Board was not encouraging applicants to go thither unless they were farmers or had friends to receive them. Subscriptions and donations amount to £270 and office management expenses to £465.
