Mr. Hughes, Acting-Federal Premier, referring to Sir Wilfrid Lanrier's statement about the British and Australian attitude towards the All-Red route, declared that the proposal hud never been brought before the Australian Government in a definite way, and Australia could not deal with the project until some definite proposal was made by the British Government. Australia would be prepared to play her part in any wellconsidered practical proposal.
