A PLUNGE THAT FAILED
WOMAN JUMPS OFF A WHARF. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. A woman named Emily Aitken, wife of a boardinghouse keeper, jumped from the wharf at the breakwater last night, presumably with the intention »f plun,-. ing into the sea. She fell, however, or v ledge of rocks, and was rescued by t » wharf officials without having sustain > 1 any damage beyond a thorough drenching by sea water. The woman was arrested, and will appear before the Court to-morrow.
