RAILWAY TO WHANGAMOMONA
BALLAST TRAIN'S BY CHRISTMAS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Stratford, Last Night. The Hon. R. MeKenzie and party yesterday went over the line to Whangrtmomona, where he was enthusiastically - received and hanquctted. An address of welcome was presented at Whangamomona. In replying, the Minister stated that ballast trains at any rate would be running as far as Whangamomona by Christmas. The Minister went on through the Ohura country to-day, and expects to reach Wellington on Saturday night.
