DUNEDIN HOSPITAL.
WOMEN'S WARD ASSURED. l!y Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. Favored by excellent weather, the street collection in aid of the fund for providing a women's ward at the hospital was highly successful to-day. A strong band of collectors was busy in (lie main thoroughfares from 8 a.m. till 1 p.m., and at 10.30 a procession of motor-cars, headed bv Mr. Hugh Ward's Company, and containing a large number of collectors, mostly nurses, traversed the principal streets, in which large crowds had congregated. The collectors met with a ready response, and the fund was benefited to the extent ol £205 as a result. The matinee given 'by Mr. Ward's Company in the afternoon was very largely attended, and yielded the handsome total of £135, making £4OO for the day from these two sources. With other subscriptions, the £2500 is well in sight.
