Ward's Company on Wednesday in aid of the fund for the women's ward at the hospital were disposed of hv auction by Miss Grace Palotta. The public supported the effort to raise the fund to a satisfactory extent, the prices realised ranging from £2 '2s downwards. Some of the purchasers generously handed the tickets back for re-sale, and the total was augmented in consequence.
