Handicap Hurdle Race, two miles.— Taiaha 1, Master William 2, Hoanga 3. Also started: Paritutu, Maidi, Don Quex, Lady Patricia, Celtic, Pukenui. Won- by two lengths. Won by a couple of lengths. Titirangi Handicap, seven furlongs.— Master Wairiki 1, Captain Soult 2, Impulsive 3. Chevalier Handicap, four furlongs.— Jack Delaval 1, Blue Mount 2, Hareno 3. Also started: Miss Wairiki, Lady Betty, St. Amans, Seatonella, Wee Rose, Reno, Mangu, Tipperary, Bell, Crispin. Won by two lengths. Railway Handicap, six furlongs.—Miss Winnie 1, Sir Artegal 2, Jena 3. Also started: Solus. Won by a length and a half.
WELLINGTON RACING CLUB. Wellington, Last Night. The Wellington Racing Club's autumn meeting concluded in fine weather. The attendance was normal, and the course was in fair order. Fields were good and! some excellent racing was witnessed. Totalisator investments for the dayj were £16,776, making a total of £29,821 for the meeting, compared with £28,572 for the last autumn meeting,! being £1248 10s in favor of this meet-] ing. Results:— i Second Hurdles Handicap, l'/ 2 miles.— 1 Sunray 1, Whitestone 2, Torbelle 3. Also started: Bally Shannon. Bally Shannon fell, leaving Whitestone to lead the field to the straight, where Sunray assumed the lead and won by a length. Time, 2min 57sec. j
Hutt Handicap, 1 mile.—My Lawyeri 1, Hilarian 2, Bourrasque 3. Also start-l ed: Bracken, Sea Queen, St. Felix. Sea! Queen led for three-quarters of a mile, and then gave way to My Lawyer, who won by two lengths. Time, lmin 46 3-ssec.
Muritai Handicap, 7 furlongs.—Silver Bullet 1, Turna 2, Montiform 3. Also •tarted: Floater, Brown Trout, Long-I wood, Deploy, Odessa, Moutoja Girl,' Laius, Golden Age, Foreshot, St. Brandon. Silver Bullet went to the front coming up the straight, and won by half a length. Time, lmin 33 3-ssec. Autumn Handicap, ly 4 miles.—Woodhey 1, Lranui 2, Mulga Bill 3. Also! started: Merrivonia, Vice-Admiral, Ched-] dar, Dearest, Kauroa, Flingot. Vice-' Admiral led the field for two furlongs,' followed by Mulga Bill and Kauroa,' Woodhey bringing up the rear. Coming! into the straight Woodhey came up on' the outside, and won by half a length, with a length between second and third.] Time, 2min 13 3-ssec.
New Zealand St. Leger Stakes, 440 sovs; 1% miles.—Danube 1, MLra 2, St. Bees 3. Danube led throughout, and was never troubled, winning easily by: three lengths. Time, 2min 27sec. Pacific Handicap, 5 furlongs.—Royal Scotch 1, Terebinth 2, Aloha 3. Also started: Formless, Orton, Avarice, Al-j tear', Abercold. Terebinth jumped ofT with three lengths' lead, and entering! the straight was headed by Royal 1 Scotch, who won by two and a half lengths. Time, lmin 4 3-ssec.
