UNIVERSITY REFORM
DRASTIC CHANGES NEEDED. By Telegraph. —Prew Association. Wellington, Last Night. At the annual meeting of the University Reform Association to-night the report stated that the opinions of over fifty leading educationalists in all parts of the world had been obtained. These were almost unanimous that drastic changes are needed in the methods of examination and general organisation of our universities. In reference to the application for a Royal Commission of inquiry, the executive intends next session to place before the education committee of the House of Representatives definite aspects of the question and the views of the various authorities.
