At a luncheon in connection with the Manufacturers' Week, Mr. Trefle, Min-' ister of Agriculture, ■; quoted figures showing the value of the machinery in the Commonwealth at £26,000,000, and in New South Wales at £10,000,000; premises used by manufacturers in the Commonwealth, £27,000,000, and in New South Wales £11,000,000; raw material used in the Commonwealth, £0.1,000,000, in New South Wales £27,000,000. In ten years the production of the Commonwealth had increased from £112,272,000 to £174,000,000.
