BURNED TO DEATH. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Melbourne, April 18. A fire took place in a building at Bylden, in which two men named Fitzgerald and Angland were sleeping. Fitzgerald was burnt to death and Angland severely injured. A TROPICAL DOWNPOUR. Sydney, April 18. During a severe storm in the Wellington district twelve inches of rain fell in a few hours. The river was in flood, and a man named Hansen, while crossing it, was drowned. THE YELLOW PERIL. Brisbane, April 18. The steamer Coblentz brought 102 Chinese laborers for Tahiti. SURF BOAT DESTROYED. Norfolk Island, April 18. On Monday a surf boat, while attempting to land, was dashed to pieces and one of her crew of three badly injured. RICH FIND OF GOLD. Sydney, April 18. Another rich find has been made in the Long Tunnel Mine at Gundagai. Half a dish of dirt yielded 27 ounces.
