SPIRITUALISTS IN CONFERENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The fifth annual convention of the New Zealand International Association of Spiritualists commenced this morning. Twenty delegates and a large number of visitors were present from various parts of the Dominion. Mr, W. C. Nation presided, and read a paper reviewing the general progress and advance, of spiritualism. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. W. C. Nation; vice-presidents, Mr. C. J. Champness, W. McLean; secretary Mrs. W. E. Moore; treasurer, Mr. T. McNiclioll; trustees, Messrs. G. D. Gibbs and F. O'Neill. A discussion was opened in the afternoon by Mr. McLean on the proposed Bill having for its object State recognition of spiritualists and the protection of genuine mediums by suppression of "quacks."
