MEAT RISES IN PRICE
DUE TO SHORT SUPPLIES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. A meeting of master butchers was held at the Burnside cattle yards to-day to consider the advisability of increasing the price of meat owing to increased prices of stock, and it was decided to increase the present prices by from a halfpenny to a penny per pound. It is just possible that a further rise may be required later on.
