Speaking at the official banqjiet, Earl Dudley declared he would go Home firmly convinced of the splendid future in store for the people of Australia, and of their ability to work out the destiny before them. Lord Chelmsford, referring to the run of splendid seasons, warned farmers to prepare for the drought, which would inevitably come. Additional awards: Mitchell and O'Brien's Pansy was first and champion in heavy Clydesdale mares. The same owners' New Zealand-bred Flowers' Fancy- was the reserve champion, while Taylor's New Zealand-bred Royal Alexander secured first in the three-year-old stallion class. In the active class, Caffrey and Murphy carried off the honors for three-year-old stallion with a New Zealand-bred animal, and the same owners' New Zealand-bred Brilliant Boy topped the list in the Shire stallion class. " THE STOCK SALES. Received 13, 1 a.m. Sydney, April 12. At the stock sales in connection with the show two Shorthorn bulls brought 300 and 120 guineas respectively. Robinson, of New Zealand, bought two Holstein bulls at 25 and 35 guineas respectively.
