STATE POWER SCHEME
IN THE SEVENTY-MILE BUSH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Pahiatua, Last Night. A deputation waited on the Hon. R. Mackenzie, Minister of Public Works, and urged the early development of the Makuri power scheme. The Minister expressed himself favorably impressed with the scheme, which should supply Pahiatua, Eketahuna, Masterton, Woodville, Dannevirke, and Palmerston North, and he promised to end an engineer to make a further report. He advised the deputation to find out what market was available.
