TIMARU RAM FAIR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. The annual ram fair was held to-day, and in spite of the very dry weather the entry was large and the prices very fair. There was most demand for Border Lcieesters, for which prices were half a guinea better than at the recent Christchurch fair. The top price was 9% gns. for one-shear Border Leicester ram, bred by Donald Grant. The sheep came forward in good condition. The brokers report good competition in the early part of the sale, especially for Border Leicesters. The buyers worn principally South Canterbury farmers. The sale as a whole was rather better than had been anticipated.
