Two were killed and thirteen injured in a panic at the Hippodrome Picture Palace, Middlesborough. Sparks were noticed: in the neighborhood of an electric fan in the gallery, containing a thousand people, mostly young, and immediately the occupants of the upper seats'rushed to the exit below, in the vicinity of the stage. A crush resulted in the doorway, but the audience partly recovered from their firm alarm, facilitating extrications from the crush.
