At Senkovitch's trial the Kussian Consul-Ueneral gave evidence in support of prisoner's statement of the existence of bad feeling between Russia and England. Witness said the feeling originated at the time of the Boer War, and became still more acute during the Russo-Japanese War. I :- SENTENCED TO DEATH. Received 25, 12.25 a.m. Sydney, March 24. The jury found Senkoviteh guilty, with a strong recommendation to mercy, on the ground that the murder was not premeditated. The Judge sentenced him to death.
