ANOTHER SHOOTING BUSINESS
WITH INTENT TO SCARE ONLY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. A man named J. Hanuay was charged at the Magistrate's Court this afternoon with firing shots at three men last evening, aald was remanded till to-morrow. His statement is that the men molested him when taking a girl home from a picture show, and they afterwards waylaid him near his own residence on Colenso Hill. He then went into the house, and got a shot-gun and discharged both barrels, with the object, ho alleged, of frightening the men. He also stated that only one man was struck by a pellet, the others being uninjured.
