THE OHAKI'NE FATALITY. By Telegraph.—PreAs Association. Auckland, Monduy. Fuller particulars us to the train accident at Ohakune show the victim to have been Vera Dellow, aged 20, whose parents reside at Mount Eden. She went out on the platform when the train was slowing up. Constable Skinner, who was on the platform of the next carriage, saw a dark object fall alongside the carriage. He bounded forward and got possession of the body after the wheels of one carriage had passed over it. Death must have been instantaneous. Skinner was struck on the back of the head by a moving carriage, but escaped serious injury. A passenger states tiiat the station was practically in darkness when the train arrived, but was fully lighted ten minutes after the fatality. ■ BODY FOUND ON THE ROCKS. Timaru, Monday. At the inquest on Charles Thomas Clements, whose body was found on the rocks yesterday morning, an open verdict was returned. The evidence showed that he had been worrying over business matters quite unnecessarily. SUDDEN DEATH. Ilawera, Monday. Alexander Wan, aged 02, a retired settler, died suddenly in his sleep early this morning of heart failure. ACCIDENT ON THE MOUNTAIN. Hawera, Monday. Joseph Mossnp, coach-driver, was thrown from a four-horse team waggon on the Dawson Falls mountain track on Friday evening, receiving serious injuries to his head and face. He was rendered unconscious, and remained in the open all night. He wa9 taken to the hospital, suffering from concussion of the brain. A COACH ACCIDENT. Gisborne, Monday. When the Gisborne-Morere eoich was descending the Kopun Hill the polo broke and the coach capsized. A passenger named Miss RofT had an arm broken, but the others on the coach were not seriously injured.
