NEW SOUTH WALES CHAMPIONSHIP. By Cable—Press Association—Cogyright. Received 5. 5.5 p.m. Sydney, March 5. The half-mile championship of New South W ales was won by Longworth, with Ilealey second, and Wright third. Won by sixty yards. Time, llmin 31scc. The 100 yards championship of New South Wales was won by Healy 1, Longworth 2, Hill 3. A great race, won by a touch. Time, lmin. WELLINGTON CHAMPIONSHIPS. I By Telegraph.—Press Association. I Wellington, Last Night, i The provincial championship swim- | ming meeting was held yesterday under unfavorable conditions. Results: 100 Yards.—C. Brice (Thorndon) 1, M. C. Stranger (Wellington) 2, B. C. Freyberg (Swifts) 3. Three others j started. Won by a foot, inches between second and third. Time, (14 4-ssec. 440 Yards.—B. C. Freyberg (Swifts) 1, R. Healy (Thorndon) 2. Only starters. Freyberg took the lead from the start, and never appeared to be really pushed, winning by about' Seven yards. Time, 6min 3sec. I The Clyde Quay School retained the Duthie Cup for the 200 yards relay , race, which they have held since its j presentation some six years ago. '
