SIR JOSEPH WARD.

SEND-OFF AT WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.—Prtss Association. Wellington, Saturday. There "was a representative gathering of citizens at Thorndon station to say farewell to the Prime Minister and the Hon. Dr. Findlay, "who left for Auckland at 12.15 p.m., on the way to London to attend the Coronation. All the Ministers, with the exception of Mr. Buddo, who remains in Wellington, and Mr. Ngata, who has gone to the East Coast, will accompany their two colleagues as far as Auckland, the Ministerial party travelling in two reserved carriages, which .formed part ,of the Main Trunk train as far as Paek'akariki. At that station they were- detached and coupled on to another engine, so as to enable stops to be made at various stations at which thi express docs not stop.

AUCKLAND'S FAREWELL. Auckland, Last Night. All the members of the Cabinet, excepting the Hon. A. T. Ngata, arrived by special train from Wellington this morning. A Cabinet sitting will be held tonight, and a public farewell will be tendered to Sir Joseph Ward and Dr. Findlay to-morrow afternoon, prior to their departure for the Coronation. The Mayor, will present Sir Joseph Ward with an address, and after the function a committee of representative citizens will accompany the Ministers to their steamers.
