He returned to Dunedin, and has been attended by four doctors at various times. Deceased leaves a grown-up family. A TRACK ACCIDENT. Christchurch, Last Night. A well-known trainer and rider of trotting horses, Robert Allan, was thrown from a horse at the New Brighton Club's trotting "meeting yesterday afternoon. He was conveyed to the hospital, where he wad found to be suffering from concussion of the brain. Allan regained consciousness to-day, and is progressing favorably.

ACCIDENT ON THE KAIPARA. Wellington, Last Night. While working on loading operations on the steamer Kaipara yesterday afternoon, a laborer named William Sherwood, a single man, met with an accident, which resulted in several ribs being broken. He is now in hospital.
