AX UNEXPLAINED IXCIDEXT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Melbourne, February 28. The referendum manifesto is still missing. Ministers vigorously deny that it was lost intentionally. A cable on Monday stated that the manifesto had been posted to a typist, and apparently it has been missing since. MR. FISHER OPENS THE CAMPAIGN. Received 1, 1.5 a.m. Melbourne, February 28, Mr. Fisher opened the referenda campaign at a large and enthusiastic meeting in the Town Hall. He strongly urged the claims for the extension to the Commonwealth of the powers asked for under the referenda.
