FIGHT WITH INDIANS

SQUAWS SIDE BY SIDE WITH "BRAVES." 3y Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received 1, 12.50 a.m. New York, February 28. Reports from Reno, Nevada, state that eight Indians and one white man were killed in a fierce battle at Tuscarora, when a pursuing posse overtook twelve Shoshones wanted for the murder of four wealthy Nevada stockmen. The Indians fought with bows and arrows for three hours. When only four of the band were left they surrendered.

The stockmen's bodies were found horribly mutilated, and there was every evidence that the murderers were Indians. Several squaws were killed, fighting side by side with the braves.
