SUPREME COURT.
NAPIER SESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Pre-sa Association. Napier, Wednesday. At the Supreme Court, Maria Mooney, on a charge, of concealment of birth, was granted six 'months' probation; James Lucas, theft of a £5 note from a customer, and Finlay McLean, false pretences, were found guilty and remanded for sentence. Napier, Last Night. At the Supreme?-Court to-day Alexander Straelian, charged with the attempted murder of and doing grievous bodily harm to Herbert Sidney Bradley, was found guilty on the lesser charge, and recommended to mercy. Sentence was deferred till Saturday. John Morrison, who had a number of previous convictions for theft, was found guilty of theft from a hotel and with being found on the premises at night with intent to commit a theft. He was remanded for sentence till Saturday.
