THE CORONATION
COMMONWEALTH AGAINST LAVISH EXPENDITURE. LOYALTY WITHOUT POMP. By Association—Copyright. Melbourne, February 18. The Federal Cabinet discussed the question of sending a military contingent to the Coronation. It is understood it decided not to spend anything in connection with pageants or decorations. Some sort of official recognition may be extended to small bodies of troops or cadets despatched at private expense; otherwise it is believed that the expenditure will be limited to Ministers' expenses and members' passage money.
