MR. LYSNAR'S CAMPAIGN. ) By Telegraph.—Press Association, j Palmerston North, Last Night. Mr. Lysnar, Mayor of Gisborne, addressed a meeting of farmers at the A, and P. Association on the question of handling frozen meat. He stated that the Port of London authorities had instructed representatives of the New Zealand committee that some central dock, with proper cold storage, be given for New Zealand dairy and meat products. The sum of £4,000,000 was allotted for this purpose, but the authorities required the support of the New Zealand producers against the vested interests Ihey would have to fight. Resolutions wera passed similar to those at Gisborne, requesting the London authorities to provide facilities for better handling and better storage, and it was decided that the A. and P. Association and the Faro* ers' Union should form a joint committee to deal with the question.
