FIRES.

BLAZE AT WAIPUKURAU. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Waipukurau, Monday. By a fire on Saturday morning large premises occupied by \V. H. Booth, in which were situated engineering works, blacksmiths' shop, and coachbuilding works, were completely destroyed. Many vehicles were saved, but a large number were destroyed, and all the tools lost. One workman lost his kit, which he valued at £SO. The buildings were insured for £GIO and the machinery for £3OO, both in the Guardian Office, which also held a risk of £SOO on the stock. Booth's loss is estimated at £OOO.
