The Daily News' Lisbon correspondent reports that the Vickcrs-Maxim Company lias secured a contract for the construction of ten battleships, varying from 12,000 to 16,000 tons, and an arsenal, the whole costing £20,000,000. The expenditure is spread over a long period.
