CANADA AND AMERICA

THE RECIPROCITY COMMISSION. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Ottawa, January 12. President Taft is urging the reciprocity commissioners to hasten with their finding, as he is desirous of submitting the agreement, if any is arrived at, to Congress as soon as possible. The President believes that the loss of the present opportunity means the postponement of the whole question for years. The United States is holding out for free wood pulp. Canadian protests against reciprocity are multiplying. An announcement is expected from the commissioners at the end of the week.
