A conference at Aussig, under the auspices of the Reiehcnderg Chamber oi 'Commerce, passed a unanimous resolution, supported by representatives of the Ministers of Commerce and Agriculture, which emphasised Austria's rights to the free navigation of the Elbe, and urged the Government to decline to negotiate with Germany concerning the imposition of shipping dues on the Elbe, no matter whatever compensation were offered for the modification of the Elbe treaties.
