There's a fooling of excitement in the air. Women are on the tip toe of expectation. Bargain hunters, who have been through many campaigns, are sniffing the coming price breezes and preparing for the fray. To-day Messrs. Morcy and Son commence their semiaziuual sale, and, judging by the advertisement published in this i'ssue, it's going to be an event that will outrival all former sales. On some items 10s will buy a sovereign's 'worth, so that while money will be spent like water, there will be a goodly showing of parcels to account for the sums spent. Every woman who can go will be at Morey's today. The attention of farmers is directed to the sale which Mr. Newton King is I holding on fteoount of Mr. A. K. Lash, Waiau road, .......i, on Wednesday, the , 18th inst. Til* caws to be offered are all of Jersey strain, in first-class condition, and in full milk, and are only being sold as the vendor has disposed of his farm. There will also be ottered purebred and pedigree Jersey bulls, and, as 'this strain is so -much in demand just now, dairymen should not miss this sale. On Friday next Mr. Newton King is holding a clearing sale on account of Mr. R. G. (iibbs, Hurford road, Omata, when his choice dairy herd of 41 cows will be offered to the public. The herd is comprised of picked: cows ('Mr. Gibbs having culled heavily in past years), and farmers can rely on obtaining really first-class stock at this sale. The young cattle to be sold all show the Jersey strain, and to anyone in want of young heifers, this sale should prove an exceptional opportunity.
