It is understood that some speculators have purchased heavily. Prices are hardening. Choicest Australian salted is quoted at 104s to lOfts, unsalted lofls and occasionally 108s; secondaries, Otis to 10()s. Choicest New Zealand, lifts; secondary, 104s to 10(is; choicest Argentine, 104s to 108s; Danish, 114s to lite. Cheese.—Market firm, but unchanged. Wheat.—The market is steady. Two Australian cargoes, amounting to 12,000 quarters of South Australian, were sold for 30s -a. Holders are asking for 36s (Id for Victorian October shipment; 35s 3d is asked for parcels of December-January. Small business is being done in Australian spot at about 375. Flour.—-Market is slow. Sale prices unchanged. Oats.—Firmer. La Plata FebruaryMarch shipment, 12s 7'/od. Copper.—Spot, £55 8s 9d; three months, £SO Os 3d. Tin.—Spot, £lßl M)s; three months, £lB2 lot. Silver, £25 3s !>d. Load, £l3 33 Qd. i Iron, 49s 9d. Wool.—The, Bradford wool market is weak. Quotations: Sixty-fours, 25% d; super, 25% d; common sixties, 21«1 to 24 5-Cd; fifty-sixes, 21d; fifties, 18d; forty-sixes, 14y a d; forties, 13d. The Antwerp sales closed showing a weaker tendency, merinos receding a further 2% per cent. 4207 bales of La Plata were offered, and 947 sold,
