LADY DOCTOR KILLED.
By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Melbourne, December 1.9. Dr. Findlay Stone, one of the leading lady practitioners, while cycling to Hawthorn, collided with a vehicle and was killed. LYNCHED A DETECTIVE. New York, December 15. A verdict of manslaughter was returned against a negro at Newark, Ohio, who was implicated in the lynching of an anti-saloon detective in July last. This is the first conviction, but. twenty more rioters are yet to be tried.
