REFUSED THEIR PORRIDGE. By Gable—Press Association—Copyright. London, December 15. Seventy inmates of 6utton Workhouse, Surrey, refused porridge and demanded bread and butter. A free fight between the officials and inmates followed. Fifty arrests were made. A CHANGE OF DIET. London, December 15. Bighty-four inmates of Sutton Workhouse in all were arrested for the distuAtnce over the food. The majority were sentenced to three months' hard Ifcor.
