BLENHEIM SESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Blenheim, Wednesday. The Supreme Court opened this morning before the Chief Justice, who, in his charge to the Grand Jury, congratulated the district on the practical absence of crime. There were only two small cases, both charges of theft from drunken men, which apparently were the outcome of the drunken habits of ac- ' cused, who were not permanent local residents. WESTPORT SESSIONS. Westport, Last Night. At the Supreme Court four miners were charged with breaking and enter- j ing at Burnett's Face. Three were ac- ' quitted. The fourth was found guilty ' of common assault, and admitted to twelve months' probation.
