AFFECTING HOTELKEEPERS
NO BEER ON BOXING DAY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Wellington, Last Night. Hon. Dr. Findlay agrees with the view expressed by a legal authority in Dunedin that under the provisions of the New Public Holidays Act hotels will have to close on Monday following Christmas Day. Another feature of the licensing law concerning which, there has been some doubt is the date when ten o'clock closing is to operate. It has been ascertained that the amendment in, the law cannot apply to existing licenses, which terminate on June 30th. Universal ten o'clock closing will operate after that date.
