REPLY TO CRITICS. To the Editor. Sir, —liri answer .to t<he letter of "A Lover of Flowers'' in yesterday morning's issue, re alleged unsportsmanlike conduct at the Waitara Horticultural Society's Show, I beg to state that the committee of the New Plymouth Horticultural Society have the matter under consideration, and will deal with the same as soon as they receive official information from the Waitara Society, Which will probably be early next week. I should like to say on behalf of my Society that it ihas always been the endeavor of the committee to prevent i fraud of any description in connection with our stows, and, should the information warrant it in the case mentioned, we shall have no hesitation in doing our duty. I will therefore ask exhibitors to show their confidence in the Society by making this year's entries constitute a record. Entries close at 8 p.m. on Tuesday next Trusting this explanation is satisfactory,.—l am, etc., G. H. McGAiHEY, President N.P. Horticultural Society.
