Three hundred Hungarian workmen, evicted in consequence of deplorable housing conditions in Budapest, spent the night in a meadow, and then telegraphed to Mr. Asquith imploring him to send a warship to Fiume, promising to become faithful and law-abiding citizens. Statistics show that 80 per cent, of the inhabitants of Budapest live in dwellings consisting of a single room.
