A GRUESOME CRIME
MURDERED AND MUTILATED. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Paris, December 1. A gruesome crime was discovered near Angers. A body, supposed to be that of a foreign banker, was found horribly mutilated. It is believed that he was enticed to the (house of a horse-dealer by the mistress. The assassins shaved and slashed the face, destroying its identity. The body was put in a, box by the murderers, and taken in a wheelbarrow through a populous part of Angers, where it >was abandoned on the sudden approach of some soldiers. The men escaped, but the woman, Marguerite Maud, was arrested.
