The attendance was very large, including Lord Islington and suite. Racing was good, but the con-, test for the Stead Gold Cup was robbed of Dutch of its interest through the withdrawal of Danube, who met with severe injuries shortly after being brought on to the course, through getting his hind legs over a fence. The totalisator investments were £22.340. making a total for four days of £1)0,142, as against £90.301 last* year. Bookmakers' tees totalled £SOO. Results:—
