THE WELSH DISTURBANCES
RESULTS OF THE RIOTING. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, November 11. The King is making enquiries as to the fate of the ponies in the Welsh mines. The strikers partially blocked the water supply at Llwynpia, causing a stoppage of the pumps, and the mine was almost flooded before the <kfect could be remedied. One of the rioters hurt at Tonypandy on Tuesday has succumbed to his injuries, which were inflicted with a baton or a missile.
MORE TROUBLE BREWING. BLOODSHED THREATENED UNLESS BLACKLEGS GO. Received 13, 5.5 p.m. London. November 12. In response to an appeal for assistance from Mr. Llewellyn, the Anti-Socialist Union of Great Britain has despatched a number of voluntary stores to the coalfields. Forty stokers from Cardiff have arrived at Llwnypia colliery, and are housed within the yard.' It is estimated that it will take two months to clear one section of the mine of water. The Strike Committee telegraphed to Mr. Winston Churchill that unless the "blacklegs" are withdrawn there will undoubtedly be bloodshed. The machinery at the Tonyfair mines, where the strike has been proceeding since September, came to a sudden standstill yesterday, due to the strikers expelling the enginemen and stokers. Water invaded the workings.
It has been decided to import labor.
