SUCCESSFUL BOMB-DROPPING TRIALS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. New York, November 11. In the target shooting contest from aeroplanes at Baltimore, Latham scored two hits with a revolver out of four shots on a small target on the ground. Bomb-throwing, Latham hit a target, in the shape of a ship, repeatedly from a height of 1400 feet. Drexel dropped six bombs successfully. The efficiency of aeroplanes for bombdropping is held as fully proved.
AWKWARD FOR AVIATORS. AERIAL SPIES. Berlin,.November 11. The German Government is devising regulations governing aerial flights. Airmen coming within six miles of fortifications will be regarded as spies. Peeters, a Belgian airman, waa killed while flying at Monseron.
STEED v. FLYING MACHINE. THE AIRSHIP WINS. Received 13, 5.5 p.m. New York, November 12. An aviator named Mars, at Norfolk, Virginia, defeated a racehorse over a mile. 81-PLANES FOR AUSTRALASIA. Received 13, 5.5 p.m. London, November 12. Mr. Hammond, a New Zealander, is proceeding to Australia with two British bi-planes to give flights in Australasia.
