Christchurch, Last Night,

The Canterbury A. and P. Association's Metropolitan Show closed to-day, when there was an enormous attendance of the public. The classes for blood horses were not very large, but thougk the condition of the horses was rather uneven they showed plenty of quality. Entries of cobs and ponies were well up to the usual standard, both as regards quality and number. The saddle horse classes brought out good fields in tht majority of cases, included in which were many old favorites. His Fxellency the Governor was pres etit i-t tie show during the afternoon. The gate takings were as follows: First day, £l7 3s; second day, £220 4s; third dav, £l3lO 10s; total, £1547 17s.
