OPENING OF THE SEASON. The season opened in rial earnest yesterday, when the weather was in striking contrast to that prevailing for the original fixtures. The result of the senior games, briefly, was a win for Inglewood over Carrington Road by one run; the defpat of Waitara by New l'l'mouth bv 112 runs; a runaway victory for Urenui over Athletic, 107 to 30.
