Over fifty stray hat-makers, employed by the Good, Durant Company, have struck over the dismissal of Brookes, one of the employees, and the firm's determination to stand by two girls who refuse to join the union. THE BOILERMAKERS. Received 2, 10 p.m. Adelaide, November 2. All the moulders and boilermakers in the employ of the Martin Company at Gawler are locked out, and only the office and stores' staffs are kept on. Various unions are meeting with a view to forming a general committee to take charge of affairs.
